This meeting covers all aspects of parasite molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, genetics and genomics, focusing on protozoan parasites. Presentations (talks and posters) by graduate students and post-docs are strongly encouraged
The meeting will start Sunday Sept 10 with dinner followed by an evening session at 7PM. The meeting will end on Thursday Sept 14 with a morning session followed by lunch.
Keynote Address: Will be delivered by Dr. Isabel Roditi. A senior international HHMI Research Scholar and Professor at the Institute of Cell Biology, University of Bern, Switzerland. She studies how Trypanosoma brucei, the parasite that causes human sleeping sickness, regulates gene expression as it progresses through its life cycle. A large-scale screen for a new class of drugs, which would act by inducing premature differentiation, is an important spin-off of her basic research.
PLEASE READ THE BELOW INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE REGISTERING AND FOLLOW THE STEPS TO AVOID PROBLEMS IN REGISTRATION AND HOUSING

All registration, payment and abstract submissions must be conducted on-line. The registration process has been designed to help the meeting organizers keep track of registrations, abstracts and payments, to facilitate production of the printed abstract book, and to allow users continued access to their registration information and abstract submissions up until the registration deadline. If you registered online before, then you may use your same email address and password to logon and submit your registration for 2017. Use the "forgot password" option with your email address.
The abstract book will be generated AUTOMATICALLY from the information you enter into the website forms so please follow the formatting instructions precisely. Author generated errors may not be corrected.
NOTE TO PIs: Please be certain your students, postdocs and others all enter your name with the same name spelling to allow proper indexing of your abstracts.
As has been traditional for MPM, registration and costs for students and postdocs are lower than PIs and staff to encourage attendance by junior scientists.
Registration, Housing and meals:
- PIs, staff: $880.00

After this portion of the registration process is finished you are free to log back in as needed. You do not need to submit an abstract when you first register, as you will be able to log back in to the site to access all of your information and make changes as needed, including submitting and/or updating the abstract.
